Did you ever have something that bothered
the hell out of you for a long time?
I have.

Years ago, while I was busy writing non-fiction to pay the bills, I had a story rattling around in the caverns of my mind. In truth, it was more than a story; it was partly a fear. I had experienced some personal loss as a kid, and the impact stayed with me. As a father, my fear had morphed into: what if something happened to one of my kids?

As the years passed, and I saw what was happening to the legal landscape, my story began to take on a purpose. Maybe I could tie my story together with the growing outrage I was feeling at seeing our criminal justice system decay right before our eyes. Maybe I could show how the law can conflict with the people it’s supposed to protect? And so, Those Who Will was born.

A published author of non-fiction (Selling At The Top, The Computer Encyclopedia), Markman combines his myriad life experiences (father, businessman, teacher, counselor, author) with his vivid imagination to create Those Who Will, his first work of fiction.

Today, Markman lives in CT where he is working on his next novel, Dino's Mom, the story of a woman's heroic struggle to save her handicapped son.
